It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the passing of our father Albert Clements on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Clarence and Victoria (Iwan) Clements.
He was employed with Pepsi until his retirement. Since his retirement he was a driver for Hyundai for the past seven years.
Abbie was an avid fisherman, hunter and all around outdoorsman. He enjoyed going for long drives, meeting new and old friends and telling entertaining stories.
Abbie is survived by his children, Sandra Janes, Halifax, Albert (Lisa) Clements, New Glasgow, Todd (Denise) Clements, Albert Bridge; his precious grandchildren, Brenden, Mitchell, Gillian, Logan, Jessica, Jenna and Marlee; step-grandchildren, Thomas and Kate. He is also survived by his best friend, Carol MacQueen, sister Stella Allen, Sydney; brothers, Michael (Phem) Clements, Belle Cote, Sonny (Rose) Clements, Ontario, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Doreen (Wadden) Clements, son-in-law, Martin Janes, sisters, Betty Slade, Florence Sharpe.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral service will take place
Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations may be made to the An Cala Palliative Care, CBRH.
