NEW GLASGOW – Dorothy Catherine Barrow, 75, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow formerly of Oshawa, Ont., passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 13, 2014 in the Manor.
Born in Plymouth, she was a daughter of David M. and Dorothy A. (Martin) Neima. Dorothy was actively involved in her community of Scarborough, Ont. when raising her children. She was very artistic and possessed a wonderful sense of humour. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen “Karry” Robichaud, Oshawa; son, Tom Barrow, Markham, Ont.; sisters, Karen (Frank) Mombourquette, New Glasgow; Annette Gonzalez, Tampa, Florida; “special daughter”, Bev (Merle) Pope, Oshawa; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald “Don” Barrow; infant daughters, Patricia and Barbara; sister, Nancy; brothers, Ron and Oren.
The family will receive visitors, 12 – 12:50 p.m. Tuesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Father Gary MacPherson presiding. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Stellarton.
