MAILLET, YVONNE - 1925 - 2014 - Memramcook, NB – Yvonne Maillet, 89, passed away peacefully at her resident the Foyer Saint-Thomas de la Vallée de Memramcook in Memramcook, NB since May 2011, she was formerly of the Dover Road, Dieppe. Born Marie Melanson in Salem, Mass., USA, she was the daughter of the late Placide and the late Belorie (Cormier) Maillet of Dover Road. Yvonne worked as a housekeeper for many years in Waltham, Mass. She also worked as a custodian at Mathieu Martin High School from 1972 until her retirement in 1990. She is survived by three sisters, Lorraine (late Jamie) Adams of New Hampshire, Corinne (Arthur) LeBlanc of Cape–Bimet and Hélène Egan of Saint-Antoine; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers Aldé, Clifford and Jean-Paul.
At the family’s request there will be no viewing. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 22th, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, 1014 Amirault Street, Dieppe. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
