Peacefully, surrounded by family, at Beach Grove Home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, of Mrs. E. Jean MacEwen (nee MacLean) formerly of York Point in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late C. Gordon MacEwen and dear mother of Lois (the late Sheldon) Moore of Hampshire, and Harvey (Anne) MacEwen of Summerside. She is also survived by her grandchildren Janet (Fred) Howes, Warren Grove, Brian Moore, Hampshire, Ted (Nadia Authier) MacEwen, Ottawa, Ont., John MacEwen, Toronto, Ont., Peggy (Hugh) Grandy, Ottawa, Ont., Robert MacEwen, Charlottetown; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaylee Howes, Gabrielle MacEwen, Max MacEwen, Clara and Benjamin Grandy; her brother, Lorne (Sadie) MacLean; sister-in-law, Norma MacLean; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Janie (nee MacDonald) MacLean; her sister Hazel (John) Beer and her brother Louis MacLean. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday, then transferred to Cornwall United Church for funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
