The death occurred peacefully with family by her side, at the Beach Grove Home on Saturday, July 19, 2014, of Wanda Proude (nee Neill), formerly of Springvale, age 76. Wanda was the mother of Joyce Leard (Boyd), Neil (Arlene), Ivan, Marie (Brian Ciccone) and Star Aucoin (Marc); grandmother of Teri Proude (Lisa); Krystal, Katelyn and Gordon Proude; Dale and Meagan Moore and Amy-Leigh Proude-Ciccone; and Savannah, Devan and Nicole Aucoin; and great-grandmother of Jaden, Talys, Landen and Sylvia. She is also survived by her brothers, Gilbert Neill (Norma) and Harold Neill (Debbie); brothers-in-law, Grant Proude and Don Proude (Marsha); and several nieces and nephews. Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Leighton Proude; her parents, Irving and Mary (MacDonald) Neill; her parents–in-law, Russell and Mildred (Johnston) Proude; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Proude.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at Winsloe United Church on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. Interment in Princetown Road Cemetery.
