Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, July 21, 2014 of Mr. Ernest Gormley of Charlottetown in his 75th year. Loving father of Monica (Ira) Cooke. He is also survived by his grandson Brady King; great-granddaughter Sierra Ellis and his sister Colleen (Ernie) Scott. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Alice (nee Blacquiere) Gormley; his sisters Marie Berry, Marion Lund, Gert Hatfield and granddaughter, Brittany King.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Friday afternoon in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. No visitation by personal request.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre.
