Herbert Watson Gorrill, of Lake Echo, passed away on Jan. 2, 2009, at his home with his wife Shirley and loved ones by his side. Born Jan. 8, 1944, in Glenwood, P.E.I., he was the son of Doris (Boulter) and the late Garfield Gorrill. Herbert worked for Superior Propane, Ultramar and Blue Wave Energy. Herbie and Shirley enjoyed many years of motorcycling throughout Canada and the States. They especially enjoyed their friendship and involvement with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, which continues to this day. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Shirley, son, Paul, daughter-in-law, Tammy and “da’s†special grandson, Nathan, sisters, Joan Smallman, Faye Buchanan, Joyce (Norman) MacDougall, Click Stewart, brother, Allan (Judy) all of P.E.I. Special brother-in-law to Billy (Ruth) Cornish, Jean (Herbie), Meggison (Richard), Mae Gorrill, Everett (Theresa) Cornish, Annie ( Bill) Hogg, John (Ann) Cornish, Norman (Carman) Cornish, Tracey (Joseph) Clements, Diane ( Hugh), Kelly, Nancy (Weldon) Schofield, Paul (Dory) Milligan, Ruth (Steve) Myers, Timmy (Sylvia) Milligan, Barry Mosher. Mothers-in law, Aletha Cornish and Francis Milligan. Predeceased by brothers-in-law, James Smallman, Joe Buchanan and Allan Stewart, and sister-in-law, Isabel Mosher, fathers-in-law, Sam Cornish and Alfred Milligan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, 462-1434 and also on Tuesday Jan. 6, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Ferguson’s Funeral Home, O’Larry, P.E.I.
