Lawrence 'Larry' MacMillan

Lawrence MacMillan passed away on July 23, 2014, at the age of 85.
A native of Cape Breton, Lawrence worked as a miner and as a young man, survived an electrocution in the mine. Then he spent many of his years in construction in Ontario. He loved traditional fiddling music and had many cds and tapes.
He spent his final years at Derbeckers Heritage house in St. Jacobs, Ont. There, he appreciated the excellent care that he received and he also enjoyed visits from talented volunteers.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Duncan, Colin, Marylou and Anita; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Larry was a man who appreciated both simplicity and thriftiness and his last wishes have been kept. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
Memorial donations may be made to either the Canadian Mental Health association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
