CUMMINGS, EUGENE - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Eugene Edward Cummings of Norton, NB, husband of Evelyn (Fenton) Cummings, which occurred on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the Sussex Health Centre, at age 85. Born on March 28, 1929, he was a son of the late Vincent and Rose (Curran) Cummings. Eugene is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn; son Gary Cummings (Heidi) of Sussex, NB; daughter Rose Cummings of Sussex Corner, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Eugene was predeceased by his brothers Fred, Patrick, Ronald, Harold, Donald; sisters Marguerite Cummings and Clara Monahan.
He is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506) 839-2156, 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held from Sacred Heart Church, Norton at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
