- July 4th, 1910 - February 18th, 2010– Passed peacefully away into the presence of God, February 18th, 2010, while residing at Chancellor Park, St. John’s. Predeceased by husband Herbert and last surviving child of predeceased Darius and Elizabeth Meadus. Predeceased by sister Josephine (Theodore), USA; brothers: Walter (Helen), Albert (Rose), Harry (Marjorie) and Herbert (Stella). Beloved and cherished mother of Beryl Butt (Kingsley), Ontario and Claudette Locke (Theodore), St. John’s. Precious grandmother to Vaughn Butt (Ardelle), Ian Butt, Ontario, Dr. Philip Locke (Jill), Jonathan (Alexandra) and Matthew (Cindy), St. John’s. Adoring great-grandmother to Skyler and Carson Butt, Ontario, Noah, Andrew, Gracie, Amelia, Sarah, Ava and Samuel, St. John’s. Very special and loved aunt to Don Hudson and grand niece Kim (Hudson) Poppe, USA. Also many other relatives and friends in St. John’s, Ontario and the USA. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation on Saturday, Feb. 20th from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 21st from 3-5 p.m. Funeral service on Monday, February 22nd, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
