DUFFETT, Ethel Victoria (nee Cook) — Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at Chancellor Park Nursing Home, on January 3, 2009, Ethel Duffett, aged 96 years. Predeceased by her husband Max. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons, Bud (Sandra), Graham (Mary); daughters Joan Snelgrove (Ross), Shirley Holden (Don) and Gail Butler (Rod predeceased); 12 grandchildren Nancy (Wade Clarke), Kerri Oldford, Tracy (Cory Russell, Ken Snelgrove (Lynette), Lori (Harvey Struss), Greg Duffett, Geoff Duffett, Karen McKinley, Chuck Carr, Stephanie Smith (Craig), Jennifer Butler and Christine (Jeromy Shea); 12 great-grandchildren; brother Art Cook (Violet pre-deceased); sisters Edith (Joe Quinn), Olive (Gus Haynes predeceased), Gertrude (Mike Gladney predeceased) and Allison (Jim Kerwin predeceased) as well as a number of other family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, January 5 and Tuesday, January 6 and 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, January 7. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. from St. Thomas’ Anglican Church with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society (www.alzeimernl.org).
