VAUTOUR, JOHN D. - John D. Vautour of Quispamsis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16th, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Port Elgin, NB on November, 25th, 1922, he was the son of the late Docithee and Alice (Leger) Vautour. John retired from Moosehead Brewery following 45 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Moosehead 25 Year Club, he loved speed skating, harness racing, camping, dancing, socializing and cooking for family and friends. John is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Devinney) Vautour, sons; Frank (Betty), Brian (Theresa), Wayne (Stella), son-in-law Sylvain Gallant, as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grand grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his daughter Ann-Marie Gallant.
At John’s request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of The Assumption Catholic Church at 12:00 o’clock on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
