Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, August 9, 2014, Traute 'Mary' (Voss) Curran of Carbonear, age 78 years. Predeceased by parents: Alfred and Frieda Voss, brother: Kuno, sister: Beverley; brother-in-law: Maurice and sister-in-law: Julia (Joseph) O'Grady. Left to mourn, husband: Bill; three daughters: Monica (Peter) Connors, Georgetown, ON, Angela (Bryan) Majuery, Carbonear and Beverley Curran, Kelowna, BC; three sons: Tony (Carol), Mike (Louise) and Brian, all of Brampton, ON; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; one sister: Monika (Keith) Morrison, Carbonear; four brothers-in-law: Phillip (Elvie) Curran, Dominic (Brenda) Curran, David (Cathy Ann) Curran and Joseph Curran, all of Carbonear; five sisters-in-law: Anastasia (Edward, deceased) Furey, Elizabeth (George, deceased) Cherry and Lucy Curran, all of Carbonear, Agnes (Wayne) Bishop and Catherine (Jim) Mercer, both of Upper Island Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Fr. Michael Barker conducted the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 13 from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL.
