Lilian M. Troy SAINT JOHN, NB - The death of Lilian M. Troy, of Rocmaura Nursing Home, widow of the late Judge J.Thomas Troy occured at her residence on Saturday, December 8, 2001 in her 101 st year. Born in Chatham, N.B. on February 2, 1901, she was the youngest child of Edward A. and Mary Elizabeth (O\'Kane) Barry and the last remaining member of her family. Formerly of Campbellton, N.B. where she had lived for more than fifty years, she had resided in Saint John for the last seventeen years of her life. She was predeceased by her husband; her oldest son, Lt. (P) Barry Troy, RCN; son-in-law Joseph Berry; five brothers, Thomas, James, Edward, John, and Herbert Barry; four sisters, Mary (Arthur) Losier, Annie (William) Condon, Theresa (Omar) Guidry, and Kathleen (Bert) Irving. She is survived by two sons, Most Rev. J. Edward Troy, Bishop Emeritus of Saint John, and W. Richard (Pauline) Troy, of Santa Monica, CA; two daughers, Nora \'Mickey\', Mrs. Wallace Russell, of Mission B.C., and Mrs. Sandra Berry, of Guelph, ON;11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many dear nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Resting at Fitzpatrick\'s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St; from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2001 at 11:50 am to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Saint John, N.B. for Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00. Interment will take place in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Campbellton, N.B. to be announced at a later date. Visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. There will be prayers on Tuesday evening at the funeral home at 7:30 pm. Masses offered for the repose of her soul or donations to the Rocmaura Nursing Home Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
