Buddy Passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at the New Waterford Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late John Patrick and Lucy (Nicholson) Gibson.
Buddy is survived by his sons, Jackie (Darlene), Glace Bay, Elmer (Theresa), Dominion, Clarence (Kim), Glace Bay, Derek (Myrna), Glace Bay; daughters, Mary, Glace Bay, Joan (Robert), Glace Bay; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine (Hall) Gibson; daughters, Hilda and Ruby and grandson, Brent.
Buddy was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a coal miner with Devco for over 40 years.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. Visitation will take place Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 in Curry’s Funeral Home Chapel with reception to follow at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
