JAMES MICHAEL GARY CHAISSON
December 11, 1960 – August 18, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James “Jimmy” Chaisson announces his passing at his residence on August 18, 2014 at the age of 53 years. Besides his father, the late Cornelius Chaisson, he was predeceased by his sister Mary; brothers Peter and Paul; brothers-in-law Mickey Ryan and Wayne Wheeler; niece Deborah Ann, and great nephew Logan Michael Ryan. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother Mary; brothers and sisters: Cecelia Ryan, Con Chaisson, Teresa “Susan” (Roger) Ryan, David Chaisson, Terry Chaisson, Morris Chaisson all of Codroy Valley, Karen (Dan) Rixon Port aux Basques, Wanda Wheeler Port au Port, Joseph (Judy) Chaisson Cole Harbour, NS, Brian (Sandra) Chaisson Codroy Valley, Valerie (Leslie) Gerein Fort McMurray, AB, and Julie (Kevin) Lannigan St. John's; 20 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Lorraine Chaisson and special friend Francis at Dreamcatchers, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation took place on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:30 pm and Thursday, August 21 beginning in the morning. Funeral service took place on Friday, August 22 at 11 am from St. Ann's Catholic Church in Upper Ferry with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Saint Thomas Cemetery, Great Codroy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
