LORRAINE MARGARET SCOTT

LORRAINE MARGARET SCOTT

Aged 89 years, entered into eternal rest on August 21, 2014 with her devoted son by her side. She leaves to join her husband James A. Scott, her “Jimmy” (August 31, 1923 ~ April 2, 2003).
Born on August 8, 1925, the only daughter of Andrew and Thelma Lamb, Lorraine was raised in Vancouver, B.C. and worked at Woodward’s Department Store upon graduation from high school. The family moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan prior to moving to San Diego, California where Lorraine excelled as a bookkeeper for a prestigious law firm.
Lorraine was a loving, kind, generous woman with keen sense of humour who loved her family and friends deeply and always found the good in all people. She leaves behind to bask in many precious memories her cherished and loving children, son James A. Scott (Judy) and daughters Michele and Heather (Gary); grandchildren Lynette Hilliard (Burke), Steven Flores Jennings (April) and James A. Scott II; great-grandson James III; and other loving family members.
The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the devoted and caring staff at Christenson Village, whose love provided Lorraine joy and great quality of life, and her many friends whom she adored throughout her life, especially those who made the last few years extra special with happy visits.
Lorraine’s wish was to forego a formal service. Honour her memory with a kindness to someone else.
Should you wish to donate in her memory, her charity of choice was the American Lung Association.
If her life were to be measured by the number and quality of those who loved her, then she stood on top.
