GAUDET, ALBION - Albion Gaudet, 89, of Dieppe and formerly of Scoudouc, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Following a lengthy illness. Born July 12, 1925 in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Willie and Jeanne (Belliveau) Gaudet. Prior to his retirement, he was a foreman with Lockwood and Lockharts Ltd., a member of the Knights of Columbus, and Scoudouc Golden Age Club. He is survived by his wife, Géraldine (Arsenault); three daughters: Rachel (Francis), Patsy (Edmond) and Denise (Léonce) all of Dieppe; four sons: Maurice (Alice) of Shediac Bridge, Jean-Paul (Eva) of Dieppe, Louis (Monique) of Haute-Aboujagane and Guy (Nancy) of Grand-Barachois; four step-daughters: Chantal, Gladys, Solange and Rosemonde; one brother, Alyre (late Aurore) of Cap-Pelé; 10 grandchildren: Christine, Nadine, Nathalie, Marise, Isabelle, Caroline, Justin, Michel, Riley and Daniel; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anna née Leger; one son, Roger; five sisters: Célina, Dorilla, Lorraine, Catherine and Laura; five brothers: Léo, Alfred, Gérard, Camille and Ulysse.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 3 pm until time of departure (3:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus Roman Catholic Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe, on Wednesday, September 3 at 4 pm. Interment will be in Scoudouc. In memory of Albion, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC Palliative Care Unit (oncology) would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
