Walsh, Beatrice Pearl (nee Flynn), age 83, of Falmouth, Hants County, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, September 1, 2014, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on April 10, 1931, in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Ainsley and Marie (MacDonald) Flynn. Talented and active throughout her life Beatrice was a Sunday school teacher, Girl Guide Leader, square dancer, antique restorer, bluegrass fan, musician, and artist in oil paint and ceramics. Beatrice was a caring wife and mother to three career servicemen. She enjoyed flea marketing, camping, traveling across Canada, Europe, and winters in Florida. Most of all she loved her home, her family and her friends. She will be forever missed and fondly remembered. Beatrice is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, William Joseph Walsh; sons, Jordon (Velma), B.C.; David, Kingston; half-sister, Velvet (Edward) Porter, Ashdale Road; half-brothers, Michael (Betty) Flynn, Lower Sackville; Sandy (Michele) Flynn, Upper Falmouth; granddaughters, Shauna (Kevin) Fairchild of Ottawa; Michele Walsh of B.C.; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Beatrice was predeceased by an infant son, Daniel; sisters, Ella, Venita, Muriel, Hazel, and Sadie; brothers, George and Laurie. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Eva Van Buskirk officiating. A private family interment will take place in the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Falmouth. The family wish to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of the Hants Community Hospital, Unit 200 for their hard work, kindness and efforts on Beatrice’s behalf.
