LÉGER, ROMÉO E. - 1937 - 2014 - Moncton, NB – Roméo E. Léger, 76, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, August 30th, 2014. Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of the late Camille and the late Bella Léger (nee Gaudet). Roméo is survived by his loving wife Rita Léger (nee Cormier) of Moncton, his two children, Angèla Trenholm (Lowell) of Kelowna, BC, Gilles (Julie) of Montreal, QC; his three sisters, Jeannine Newman of Shediac, NB, Camilla Monnon (Terry) Fredericton, NB, Dorine Bourgeois (Robert) of Shediac, NB; his two brothers, Danny (Kathy) of St. Catherines, ON, Claude (Rachelle) of Shediac, NB; his ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ronald (2008).
In keeping with Roméo’s wishes, there will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Friday, September 5th, 2014 at 11:00 am. Burial at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Shediac, NB. A donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
