Johanna McIntyre, 65, of Glace Bay, passed away on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ann (MacEachern) Martell.
Johanna is survived by two sons, John, Glace Bay, James, Calgary; two sisters, Pauline MacGillivary, New Brunswick, Veronica Mills, Donkin and eight grandchildren.
Johanna was predeceased by her first husband, Fred Gilmet, second husband, Fabian McIntyre, two brothers, one sister, and one grandson, Joshua Michael Gilmet.
No visitation or mass. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. Burial will take place at a later date.
