BANNISTER, MICHAEL S. - Michael S. Bannister, 60, of Berry Mills, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 following a brief illness. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Lillian (Bannister) Bannister of Berry Mills and the late Stuart Bannister (1991). Michael was a former employee of The Public Works Department, City of Moncton, with 37 years’ service. He was a modern day Veteran, having served with the Canadian Army, and was a volunteer for the Veterans with the Moncton Legion Branch #6 for a number of years. In addition to his mother, Lillian, Michael is survived by his sisters, Betty MacLean (Murray) of Allison and Eileen Bannister of Moncton; brothers, Daniel (Donna) of Berry Mills and Stephen (Evie) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, with a Moncton Legion Branch #6 Veterans’ Service at 1:30 pm, followed immediately by the Funeral Service in Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel.
