On September 10, 2014 in the presence of his family, James Chalker passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit. Predeceased by both sets of grandparents James R. (Margaret) Chalker and Frank (Nellie) Pardy; and cousin Holly Margaret Langin. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son Matthew James Chalker, wife and stepdaughters Baby Lyn, Daisyree and Hidee, parents Richard and Elizabeth Chalker, sisters Mary Lynn (Roger Puddester) and Victoria Elizabeth Chalker (Michael Kirkbride), as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the HSC and Miller Centre and a very special thank you to the Kelligrews Medical Clinic and The Ven. David Pilling for all their kindness and support. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday September 26 ,2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place at the St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Westerland Road at 2pm on Saturday September 27, 2014. Flowers are gratefully accepted.
