Prosper Dominic “Dom” LeFresne
January 21, 1927 - September 13, 2014

Passed away peacefully at LeGrow Health Centre, Port-aux-Basques on Saturday, September 13, 2014, Dominic LeFresne at the age of 87 years. Dom is survived by his loving wife, Vera (nee Ball) of 63 years; children:
Blanche (Jean) Medeiros, Sandra (Larry) Thornhill, Marcel (Liz) LeFresne, Fay (Walt) Cousins and Dom (Stacey) LeFresne; grandchildren: Bobby, Noel, Heidi, Henning, Peter, Krista, Kim, Greg, Renee, Anthony, Shilo, Michael, Kolby, Brooke and Grace; great grandchildren: Heaven, Jaimee, Nolan, Matthew, Curtis, Julie, Tannor, Ryan, Kate, Kelti, Aaron, Joel and Sarah; brother, Isreal (Louise); sister, Annie (Bob); sister-in-laws, Margie, Pearl, Naomi, Susie, and family and friends. Dom was predeceased by his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Per Engelund; granddaughter, Kirsten; parents, Violet and Nathan; brothers, William and James; mother and father in law, brothers and sisters in law. Visitation took place on Monday and Tuesday at the Holy Spirit Church in Isle-aux-Morts. Funeral service took place Wednesday, September 17, 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. Internment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Hillside Haven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Fillatre’s Funeral Homes.
