JACQUARD, Paul Vincent – 82, Villa Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, formerly of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Villa. Born November 30, 1931 in Quinan, he was a son of the late Abel and Josephine (Blanchard) Jacquard and stepmother, Madeleine Jacquard. Paul worked at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital in the Material Management department for more than 30 years. He was an avid stamp collector and he loved the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoyed bloodworming, clam digging and snaring rabbits, but his true passion was fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret R. (Muise) Jacquard, as well as by their two sons, Ron (Hattie) Jacquard, Yarmouth and Darryl (Nicole) Jacquard, Arcadia. He was also a loving grandfather to Tanya (Matt) Wiseman, Trevor Jacquard, Dylan Jacquard and Tara Jacquard, as well as a great grandfather to Jase Wiseman. Also surviving is a sister, Delphine Boudreau, Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, and a step-sister, Rachel Fleet, Alberta. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Jacquard, as well as by a brother, Earl Jacquard and step-brothers, Enos and Dean Jacquard. Visitation took place from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday evening, with prayers at 8 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 16 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Albert Street, Yarmouth, Father Patrick O’Meara officiated. Burial followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
