It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister and friend, Teresa Cashin, a resident of the Northside Community Guest Home and formerly of Little Bras d’Or, on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014.
Born in Bras d’Or, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Leona (LeBlanc) O’Toole.
Teresa dedicated most of her life, caring for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved crafting, especially knitting and crocheting. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or.
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Cindy Cashin, at home; her sister, Nancy Mansfield, Bras d’Or; brothers, Stanley (Sadie) O’Toole and Donnie (Doris) O’Toole, both of Bras d’Or and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Cashin, her brothers, Terry, Gussie and Lawrence O’Toole and sisters, Helen Cashin and Maydell LeBlanc.
Visitation for Teresa will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Rev. Peter McLeod presiding. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Bras d’Or.
