The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit, Charlottetown, with family at his side, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, of Winston Ford, husband of Stella (nee Moreside), of Oyster Bed Bridge, aged 82. Winston was the father of Terry (Darlene), Karl (Becky), Jayne, Trent, Kent (Sally) and James (Coralie); and a much loved grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. Winston is also survived by his brother, Floyd (Betty); sisters, Sheila, Sandra (John), Ruby (Hughie) and Lois; sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Victor), Jeanette (Clayton), Myrna and Georgie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Myrtle (Ford) Ford; son, Thane; sister, Freda; brother, Fulton; brothers-in-law, Jack, Grant and Barry; and sisters-in-law, Olga “Ollie”, Doreen and Leona; and nephews, Wayne and Shawn Ford. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Winsloe North Cemetery.
