It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Gay on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014. Bob was 96 years young.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Robert and May Gay.
Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his loving wife, Irene and his sons, Robert and Alex.
He is survived by his children, Sharon (James), Carolyn (Mike), Jerry (Patrice), Sheldon (Cathy) and Glenn (Laura Lee).
Also left behind are 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He also will be missed by his loving pet cat “Whitey” who was his constant companion.
Our Dad was a selfless man with a heart of gold, always giving but never asking for anything in return. He will always be in our hearts touching us with his love.
As an active Ministerial Servant of the Jehovah Witness congregation, a service will be held at the Kingdom Hall, Reserve Street, Glace Bay on Wednesday, Sept. 24th at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
