Renna Tracy

TRACY, RENNA ALMEDA - Renna Almeda Tracy was called home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2014 at the age of 83. Born in Tracy, NB on November 21, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge and Lottie (Harris) Tracy. Renna was a homemaker all her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a faithful member of her church. She taught Sunday School in her earlier years and was Church Clerk for several years. She loved spending time at her camp at Peltoma Lake and her trips to PEI with “the girls.” She was on the Queens/Sunbury Hospital Board, White Rapids Manor Hospital Board of Directors for 9 years, Tracy Hospital Aid, White Rapids LOBA, as well as various groups in the church. Renna is survived by daughter, Nadine Mott (Claire) of Tracy; son, Merlin (Myrna) of Charters Settlement and grandchildren, Nicole and Adam Tracy, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Lucille “Toots” Reid of Nasonworth, Jeannette Tracy of Tracy and Bonita Waugh (Fraser) of Rusagonis; brothers-in-law, Bliss Tracy (Sharon) of Tracy, Roger Tracy (Eloise) of Fredericton and Maxwell Phillips of Hanwell as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Keith and her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Rhoda Webb (late Bertram) and Ruth Tracy; brother, Otis Tracy and sisters and brothers-in-law, Eileen Phillips, Roderick Reid and Norman and Thelma Tracy. The family would like to say a sincere thank you to Dr. Raza and staff of Oncology and Dr. Gowan and Dr. Gillis-Doyle and staff of Palliative Care for the wonderful care she received while a patient there. Also, thank you to the nurses with Extra Mural (Oromocto Branch) for their care.
Visitation will be held at the Tracy United Baptist Church Family Centre on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will held at the church on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. James Harrison officiating, assisted by Rev. Drew Mersereau. Interment will take place in the Tracy Baptist Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church Family Center. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Church Memorial Building Fund, Extra Mural Program (Oromocto), Chalmers Hospital Oncology or Palliative Care Units or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
