RYDER, RUTH NATALIE - The death of Ruth Ryder, wife of the late Roy Ryder occurred on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born on February 7, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Alma (Trafton) Belding. Ruth is survived by her sister, Gladys Rosien of California; step-children, Thomas Ryder (Judy) of Saint John, Don Ryder (Joan) of Sussex, Frank Ryder (Sharon) of Shediac, Glen Ryder of Saint John, Elaine Conway (Tom) of Saint John and Ken Ryder of Ottawa; daughter-in-law, Kathy Ryder of Saint John; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Eva Nice, Lenna Armstrong, Mary Thomas and Winnifred Calvert; step-children, Roger and Marilyn.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Fundamental Baptist Church, 1170 Sand Cove Road, Saint John on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at 11:00 AM.
