Deveau (Church) Patricia Lee “Patti”, 62, of Falmouth, Hants County, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on July 2, 1952 in Windsor, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Elliott and Muriel (Cameron) Church. Patti was well known for her beautiful singing voice and piano playing. She sang in local country bands throughout high school and as a young adult. She enjoyed writing poetry and composing songs. Patti cherished each and every one of her family and the time she spent with them. Patti’s family would like to make special mention and thanks to Evelyn Baxter and her family. Surviving are; son, Michael (Katie) Deveau and grandson, Isaiah, Toronto; sisters, Judy Church (Philip Boyd), Halifax; Karin Folker, Airdrie, Alberta; Bonnie Church, Windsor; Heather (Dave) Majcan, Poplar Grove; brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Leighton, Poplar Grove; special nephew, Jamison Church- Phillips, Toronto; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Elliott and Muriel Church; sister, Paulette Leighton and an infant nephew, Shannon. There was no visitation by request. Memorial service was held 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor. Rev. Bill Gibson officiated. A private family Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Patti may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Nova Scotia Division.
