It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Lance Peltomaa. Lance passed away peacefully after a two year battle with leukemia. By his side were his daughter Casey and fiancée Cheryl Van Den Bruel. Lance will always be remembered for his quick wit and wacky jokes, his big smile and even bigger heart. Lance was completely dedicated to his work and passionate about cars, music and his family. Lance leaves behind his father Alvin Peltomaa, mother Margo Young, three brothers, Miles, Neil and Guy, daughters Jennifer Young and Amanda Neufeld, step-daughter Teal Hayden, grandchildren Rebecca, Gabrielle, Isabelle, Indiana and Koa; nephews Joel, Jordan, Owen and Benjamin, as well as many other loved ones including his friends.
We would like to thank the many amazing nurses and doctors in the Leukemia wards of St. Paul's Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital as well as the staff at the BC Cancer Lodge.
In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
A remembrance for Lance will be held Sunday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Gramma's Pub in Gibsons.
A celebration of life will be held on May 3, 2015 in Gibsons, BC. Location to be announced.
