JONES, ALVAH RAYMOND - The passing of Alvah Raymond Jones, husband of Madelene (Dunphy) Jones occurred on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 13, 1934, he was the son of the late Raymond and Myrtle (Wiggins) Jones. Alvah was a longtime employee of M. L. Wilkins and Son. He also enjoyed gardening. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Timothy Jones (Rita);his daughter, Pamela Hawboldt (Jevon); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mysquamii, Serenity and Cooper Hawboldt, Aprill MacFadzen and Nicholas Jones and Joe Wilson (Victoria); great-grandchildren, Savannah and Aniston MacFadzen; great-great-grandchild, Isla Wilson; brothers, Arden (Susan) and Edwin (Helen) Jones; sisters, Florence Sharpe (Merle), Mavis Currie (George) and Evelyn Grant (Quincy); sister-in-law, Ardith Jones; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Alvah is predeceased by his brother, Durwood Jones.
As requested by Alvah, there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will take place at the Keswick Cemetery on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11am with Pastor Bev Jewett officiating.
