It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melvin Gillam announce his passing at his residence on Saturday September 27, 2014 at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Glenda (Bob); grandchildren: Tanya (Rich), Lisa, Adam, and Cory (Nicole); great granddaughter Julianna, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy; parents Hubert and Alma Gillam; brothers: Roy, Eric, and Chesley, and sister Ina Dolter. In keeping with Melvin’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday September 29th between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday September 30th from St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive at 2 p.m., officiated by Reverend Canon Roberta Woodman. Interment to take place at the Anglican cemetery, McKay’s on Saturday October 4th. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Melvin’s memory to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
