ASHFORD, ROSS GEORGE - Born: July 16,1961 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ross, after a courageous battle with a rare lung disease. He passed away peacefully at the Vancouver General Hospital with his family and friends by his side. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of twenty one years, Karen; son Scott (Bonnie); daughters Ebony (Dorion) and Rossalynn; mother Clara Ashford; brothers John and Billy; sisters Pauline (Kenny), Brennetta (Bryan) Clara (Mike) and grandchildren Alexis, Avery, and Tinliegh as well as several nieces and nephews. Ross was predeceased by his father John Ashford Sr. He will be fondly remembered for compassion, stories, love of life and family and the sea. May his legacy live on.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at HW Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road, Duncan, BC. Interment will take place at Shawnigan Lake Cemetery with a reception to follow at Duncan Eagles Hall, 2965 Jacob Road, Duncan, BC.
