Doris Irene Sailer - 82, formerly of New Minas, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Shannex - Blomidon Court, Greenwich, Kings County. Born in Jordan Falls, Shelburne County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Jean (Sperry) Wamback. While living out west, she had been employed in the dry cleaning industry and later worked with Save-Easy and Sears, both in New Minas. She enjoyed bowling, curling and golfing and loved her cat. Together with her late husband, she was a National Member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was most recently affiliated with Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn (Gary) Bremner, Dartmouth; three sons, Chris (Loretta) Decker, New Minas; Jim (Yvonne) Decker, Jordan Falls, Shelburne County; Kevin Decker, Kentville; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Milton. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Catherine Desloges officiating.
