On September 5, 2014 our lives forever changed, by the passing of my husband, our Dad and our Papa, Brian Leonard Carey. The tremendous support we’ve received has helped us to begin the healing process for our broken hearts. Our thanks to the many healthcare professionals we’ve encountered during our most difficult journey, Doctors, nurses and support staff at CBRH and NSGH especially the nursing staff of 4 west, you are truly a credit to your profession. To our Clergy, Fr. Peter, Fr. Sandy, Deacon Murphy, your visits and prayers were greatly appreciated. The Mass, in celebration of Brian’s life, was a moving tribute to our much loved “Family Man”, it brought us much comfort. To St. Joseph’s Choir, Eucharistic Ministers, servers, gift bearers, readers and C.W.L. for the wonderful food and reception, your participation was sincerely appreciated. Heartfelt thanks to all who attended the visitation, funeral and reception, for visits to the hospitals, our homes, brought food, flowers, Masses, enrollments , monetary gifts, donations, e-mails, phone calls, travelled to be with us, and for the hugs; oh so many hugs. We are truly overwhelmed by the love and support given to us. To JM Jobes and Staff for your professionalism, compassion and loving care to all of our family, we are forever grateful. To Brent and Gaston, our last gift to our Dad, your beautiful music, amazing, it meant the world to us, Thank you. To Brain’s sisters and families, my family, friends, neighbours, co-workers, and our children’s in-laws; your constant love and support for all of us, through all the highs and lows of our very emotional journey will never be forgotten. We are truly blessed to have each of you in our lives.
