Ross Livingstone Blackadar passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on October 1st, 2014 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. He was born in Truro, NS on July 2nd, 1942. Ross is survived by his loving wife Joy, daughter, Janet of Fredericton, NB, son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Bonnie (Small), Vancouver, BC; sister and brother-in-law Kaye and Leonce Landry, step children Darren and Anne Fisher, Dartmouth, NS, Dale and Darci Fisher, Fall River, NS, Stephen and Jillian MacDonald, Dartmouth, NS, Lloyd and Leigh Forrest, Yarmouth, NS, three nieces and nephews, and nine grandchildren. A special thank you to the caring nursing staff and all those who have been with us through this trying time. Also, we would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. There will be no visitation or funeral at Ross' request. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Colchester East Hants Hospice Society.
