MacDonald, Dr. William James – 86, Truro passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2014. Born in Wellsburg, West Virginia he was the son of the late William and Norah (McGee) MacDonald. He attended Colchester Academy and Dalhousie School of Medicine and practiced medicine in Truro for many years. As per his request, there will be no visitation. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, October 7 at 10:00 am in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating. Interment will take place in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
