Passed peacefully away at the Hoyle's Escasoni complex on Sunday, October 5, 2014. John F. Shannahan of Cape Broyle age 89. Pre-deceased by his wife, Josephine (nee Mulcahy), sons Howard and Larry, his parents MaryAnn and Lawrence Sr., his brothers Lawrence Jr., Robert, and William Sr. and sister Emma. Survived by his beloved children Rick (Maureen), Doug, Laurie-Anne (Greg), Tanya (Gary). Beloved grandchildren Lisa, Jessica, Johnathan, Justin, Ashley, and Josephine. One great grandchild, Mason, and thirteen step-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Ron, Frank, Kevin, and their families. Also, his sisters Marg, Catherine, Winnie, Joan, Theresa, Sally, and their families. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Monday October 6 from 2 PM to 9 PM, and Tuesday October 7 from 2 PM to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle on Wednesday October 8 at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape R.C. Cemetery Cape Broyle.
