BOURQUE, Edward John – age 78, Dayton, passed away on October 3, 2014, in Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton. Born on April 22, 1936 in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Levi and Sarah (Muise) Bourque. Edward enjoyed rabbit hunting and planting his vegetable garden. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Theresa (Victor) Doucet, and Eugene (Catherine), both of Plymouth; Renie (Eileen), Ontario; Frances Pitman, B.C.; Genevieve (George) Hayes, Ontario; Ann (Willard) Doucette, Plymouth; Andrew (Lorna), Calgary. He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond Muise and George Bourque; sisters, Emily Bourque and Madeline Maillet, brother and sister in infancy.
Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Ltd., 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. By request of the family there was no visitation. A funeral mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 11th at 11 a.m. at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albenie d’Entremont officiated. An interment was held in the Parish Cemetery following the mass. Memorial donations in Edward’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
