It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Pennell announces his peaceful passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday October 6th, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Walter was predeceased by his wife Joyce, daughters Cynthia Butt and Glenys Raymond, parents Samuel and Ethel, brothers Reuben, William and sister Jean. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Catherine, sons Walter (Bernice); Grand Falls-Windsor, William (Mary-Lou); Springdale, Kenneth (Sally) Ottawa; grandchildren: Crystal Raymond, Stephen Pennell, Michelle Beckford, Michael Butt, Karen Keough, Peter Butt, Stephanie Pennell-Upward, John Pennell, Victoria Pennell, William Pennell, 2 step grandchildren Christopher and Michael Pittman, 14 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Family visitation will be held Tuesday October 7th from 1-2 PM. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday October 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive Deer Lake. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday October 8th at 2 PM from St Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake with Rev. Terry Rose officiating.
