Frederick "Sully" Sullivan

SULLIVAN, FREDERICK "SULLY" - With his family at his side, Frederick J. “Sully” Sullivan passed away peacefully at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing on Monday, October 6, 2014. Born on September 3, 1921 in Saint John he was the son of the late Hugh and Mary (Gilbert) Sullivan. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his three sisters Irene, Hazel and Mildred; brothers George, Leonard, James, Gordon and Ervine. Fred was employed with the City of Saint John for 25 years and retired in 1986. He was a Veteran of WWII. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Fred enjoyed going to the horse races and taking long walks until his health declined. He is survived by his loving wife Leota Kathleen (Fawcett) Sullivan of 59 years; son Kenneth Sullivan (Raymonde) of Rothesay; grandchildren: Janelle of Moncton, Danielle and Jesse at home; several nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his special niece Linda Davidson
The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 1 p.m., beginning with a tribute to a Veteran Service. Visitations will be held one hour prior to funeral service. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances in memory of Fred may be made to Ridgewood Veterans Wing or to the charity of the donor’s choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
