At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, with his loving family by his side, of Ralph Bennett McNeill of Alberton, and formerly of Elmsdale, age 82 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to Theresa Mary (nee Gallant) McNeill. Born at Elmsdale, P.E.I., on Sept. 13, 1932, he was the son of the late Lenus and Angelina (nee Gallant) McNeill. Loving father to: Elaine McNeill, Allan (Marlene) McNeill, Marie (late Gordon) Beaman, Helen (David) Hardy, Ellen (Ken) Minard, Betty (Gale) Gallant, Leonard (Karen) McNeill, Joe (Paula) McNeill, Garth (Michele) McNeill, Wesley McNeill (Trent) Wilkins, Kevin (Debbie) McNeill. Cherished grandfather, Derek (Jessica), Curtis (Deneille), Candace (Jeff), Ron (Courtney), Shannon, Ryan (Vanessa), Sean, Michael (Tyson), Tyson (Jenna-Vie), Kalie, and by his nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings: Doris (late Wilbert) Gray, Mabel (late Jacques) Dumas and Clair (Lorna) McNeill. Brother-in-law to Jackie (Bernice) Gallant, Nelson (JoAnne) Gallant, Everett (Carmel) Arsenault, Geordie Luttrell, Olive Gallant, Rita Melanson, Marcella (Hedley) Costain, Robina (Lloyd) Trainor, Velma (late Albert) Gallant, Angelina (late John) Reid, Priscilla (late Major) Costain and Elizabeth (late Roy) McNeill. He will be sadly missed by his two special friends, JoAnne Dyment and Betty Mae Williams, as well as his many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his great-granddaughter, Sydney Hardy, and by siblings, Everett, Roy, Eileen Luttrell and Molly Arsenault. Ralph was a faithful employee of W.P. Griffin Inc. for 50 Years. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday October 6, 2014, from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant.
