It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda – beloved wife, mother and grandmother after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brenda has lived a majority of her life in Gibsons surrounded by close family and friends. She lived a full life with her husband Peter and children Michael (Katie), Jennifer (Jeff) and Andrew. She was blessed with three wonderful grandsons – Wyatt, Sawyer and Tucker with a fourth soon to be brought into the world by her daughter. She lived each day for her family and thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother, always ready and willing to do what she could for anyone.
Brenda was predeceased by her father, Richard Rottluff and brother, Gene Rottluff. She leaves behind her mother, Irene Rottluff and brothers Rick (Kathleen), Brent (Verna) and Randy (Michelle); along with countless extended family members, nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Rayna Sivakova for all her time and encouragement throughout Brenda’s illness along with the countless nurses and care aide’s at St. Mary’s Hospital for making her time there as comfortable as possible. They also want to send out a huge thank you to Alison Johnstone for her daily visits and hugs throughout the course of Brenda’s illness – you made her smile every day.
