James King of Placentia, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on 10 October 2014, aged 90 years. Predeceased by wife Lucy (Feb 2007); grandsons Gavin and Dane Mercer (Nov 1999); parents Dennis and Annie King; brothers Edward, Raymond, George and Charlie; sisters Hannah Daley and Violet Duke. Mourning his passing, but giving thanks for his long life are sons: Rick (Barb), Brian (Mary) and Kevin (Bev); daughters Darlene King (George), Regina Crisby (Charlie), Carla Davaris (Vasilios) and Rita Mercer (Barry); grandchildren Chelsea, Rachel, Cole, Sophia and Lauren who he adored; sister Madeline Power (John) and sisters-in-law Sadie King (John) and Myra King, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Sunday from 2:00 - 9:00 pm and Monday 11:00 am - 1:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Monday 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to a charity of one's choice in his
