Passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Homes on Monday, October 13th, 2014, Rebecca Samson, aged 82 years, formerly from Flat Island, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by parents, Naaman and Maggie Samson; husband, Raymond (2005); grandson, Steven Samson (2012). Leaving to mourn five daughters: Donna Binkley, Ontario; Marlene (Mike) Williams, CBS; Diane (Bernie) Dobbin, Mt. Pearl; Linda (Gary) Humby, CBS and Leverne (John) Hannaford, Alberta; two sons: Guy (Sharon), Mt. Pearl and Chris (Shelly), Ontario; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Also one sister-in-law Essie Howell, Mt. Pearl and one brother Clarence (Lila), Mt. Pearl; other relatives and friends. Special thank you to all the staff at St. Luke's Homes for the excellent care she received. Resting at Carnell's Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, Mt. Pearl. Visitation from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, October 15th, from 10-9 p.m. Thursday, October 16th and from 10-12 noon Friday, October 17th. Funeral service on Friday, October 17th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Church of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive, Mt. Pearl. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
