OICKLE, David H. - 72 of Mersey Point, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Monday, October 13, 2014. Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late George and Violet (Schrader) Oickle. David was a former steel worker and later was an accomplished upholsterer. He enjoyed square dancing, golf, music and running. He was a former Cub Scout Leader. He is survived by his wife Marion (Scobey); his sons Michael (Wendy) of Wileville, Brian (Shelly) of Pine Grove, Alan (Julia) of Liverpool, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, sister Verna (Fred) Lannan of Liverpool, brother Otis (Barbara) Oickle of Liverpool. He was predeceased by his sisters Carolyn Fancy and Madge Whynot, brothers Alfred and Robert. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool.
