Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, January 4, 2009, of Athol Worth of Charlottetown, age 66 years. Beloved husband of Carole, (Sally) Worth (nee Leightizer) and loving father of Troy (Linda), Casey (Sondi Deglan), Dean (Jill) and Laura Worth. Athol is also survived by his grandchildren Hannah, Emilie, Sam, Nicholas and Teagan; brothers Jack Worth (Thelma) and Ralph Worth (Jean); sisters Bette Turner (Jack) and Norma MacDougall (Herbie) and her sister-in-law Ena Worth. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Laura Worth; sister, Velma Chambers; and brother, Gordon Worth. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for private family visitation on Tuesday, January 6, at 6:30 p.m. As per personal request, a private, family funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 7, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow later at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
