Conrad, Lester Alonzo, 84 of Truro, passed away Thursday, Oct 23, 2014 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Voglers Cove, NS, he was a son of the late Alonzo and Laura Conrad. Lester was a dedicated and hard worker all of his life. He was employed for many years with Lafarge Canada, Brookfield as a Millwright. He was an associate member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 26, Truro. Lester was a very loving husband and was truly devoted to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Norma MacPherson; daughter, Judy Ann Thompson (Lee) of Brookfield; grandchildren, Jenna, Marie, Peter, Raymond, Tara, Chelsea, Megan and Manda; great grandchildren, Liam and Noah; brothers, Elliott (Yvonne) of Liverpool; Lawrence (Shelvie) of Ottawa; Randall (Jean) of Voglers Cove.
He was predeceased by daughter Janice.
At Lester’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Lester’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Colchester East Hants Heath Centre, Truro.
